Joined as a Retained Firefighter in 1996, until 2002 when I became a Whotetime Firefighter on Green Watch at Newport. Now back at Sandown Fire Station as Wholetime Retained.
Odds on completing the challenge:
100%. Mind you don't know what state I'll be in at the end. Only take half a dozen strides with legs as long as mine!
Reason for doing the White Extreme Hike challenge :
I'm always up for a challenge and completing this would mean lots of money for a new chemo unit on the Isle of Wight.
